"Lagom" Patchwork Scarf with Reversible Brown Sugar Fine Wale Corduroy and Dark Brown Corduroy Backing.

LAGOM means 'just right 'in Swedish so this is just the best feeling when you wear it.

SIZE: 66"in. long X 7.5"in. wide with 2 Rows of Patchwork pieces. The main colours include: Multi-colours of Browns, Oranges, and Reds. It's very Autumn toned.

Created using some upcycled, hand cut, patchwork squares from various clothing and fabric, and some of the other squares are new fabric. All fabric has been laundered prior to sewing. Each scarf is unique with its design. There are no two exactly alike so enjoy a truly 'One-of-Kind' creation that will keep you toasty warm as well as make you feel special.

Patches of herringbone, plaid, checks,or heather make up one side of this colourful scarf. The opposite side is a cozy wool knit, warm flannel, OR fluffy fleece. Each scarf is unique and patterns will vary.

Wrap up and keep yourself cosy with this scarf. Made with patchwork squares of cotton on one side and reversible to a soft anti-pill fuzzy fleece or flannel, or even another soft fabric on the other side. There are also thicker piles of polar fleece available and styles differ as well, so if you want pay a bit of extra for something different than shown, we can do that easily.

We are proud to say that our scarves are 'rough around the edges' as that is the character of Patchwork and scraps. We really like how the imperfect stitchery in our scarves is not professional like a mass produced company. Sometimes the squares are not quite straight or the scarf may not lay just flat or even, but that is actually the beauty of these scarves.

We are simple folk here and want a finished product that is functional and does the job well, yet still looks handsome or pretty with a an obvious handmade touch. That is what we do here at The Swedish Flicka, we sew and weave with real people and hard working hands.

So if you notice any flaws in our products that you are not happy with, you are welcome to return it for a full refund, minus the shipping. OR you simply can accept that the item is a unique work of art and know that you are supporting small businesses and families. The items are in no way defective.

Either way, we hope you will find a place in your heart for our handmade traditional scarves, rugs, and potholders.

Please check the actual measurements below as each scarf is different. You will have plenty of room to wrap this scarf around your neck comfortably or tie a neck loop.

To be determined. Pictures will be posted as the project develops. Please allow time for custom work and be sure to give the date needed by. Details will be worked out in direct messages through Etsy for the customers approval.

***If you would like to have this scarf in colours that are your personal preference, then please send me a note in the listing and we will do the best we can to find just the right palettes and then adjust the pricing for a CUSTOM order to reflect extra charges depending on what you want to add and the colours and/or fabric patterns desired.

We must take the extra time to coordinate a custom order and find just what you are looking for, so that is why we charge the extra custom fee. Ready-to ship items are already complete and thus require nothing extra so the price reflects that.

Our preferred method is to HAND WASH in the sink with a bit of dish soap and then hang to air dry. Spot cleaning is really the best, but sometimes, understandably, you just have to wash it completely.

You could take the risk to wash it on GENTLE cycle in the washing machine, but you may have some minor stitching repairs to do if any of the squares don't hold. You can definitely wash it with confidence n the washing machine if you are using a mesh/laundry bag OR tied inside a pillow case.

For scarves with FLEECE backing instead of flannel- warm iron only on cotton side, NOT on THE FLEECY SIDE, OR IT surely WILL MELT the fibers. Scarf backing will vary as no two are alike, using Fleece, Corduroy, Flannel, or Cable-Knit.

NOTE: Be careful washing scarves with RED backing-avoid it if possible as Reds always seem to find a way to run and bleed the colours unexpectedly so take note of these instructions and extend the life of your scarf!😉

We all wear our Patchwork Scarves here at The Swedish Flicka and have no issues whatsoever, and we certainly hope the same for you!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I wash my Patchwork Scarf?

Patchwork Scarf Care:

Spot clean if possible. Please follow the directions on the items tag. It will direct you to wash on delicate in a mesh/ lingerie bag or tied pillow case and make sure the water is cool.

Do NOT put the Patchwork Scarf in the dryer-let it air dry on a hanger. You may iron the cotton pieces on the front side but not the fleecy squares or the reverse fleecy side or they will most assuredly melt and stick to the iron.

There is just no way to know how each washing machine will affect the items, however, they are all sturdily made and should stand the test of time. Just give proper attention prior to washing and that will ensure that it stays in fine condition.

Are The Swedish Flicka Patchwork Scarves REALLY one-of-a-kind?

YES! We make everything in small batches here, so even if we use similar fabrics and patterns, and square placement, there will never ever be two Patchwork Scarves that are exactly alike. So each one is truly a unique masterpiece!

How do I clean my Rag Rug?

You can throw the Rag Rug into the washing machine on gentle cycle with as little agitation as possible, and air dry over a stair banister OR chair back until completely dry. However, a very old fashioned & traditional way of cleaning a Rug is the freezing snow method. On a cold, clear day (25°F/ - 3° or colder) with at least several inches of fresh powder snow, take the Rug outside and leave it for a couple of hours until it has frozen. Lay the stiff carpet in the snow and whack the exposed surface with a broom. Shake the rug out, turn it over on a fresh patch of snow, and beat the other side. If you wait for a cold, dry day, the rug will barely become wet when you clean it this way. Just brush off any loose snow before you take it inside.
