Our scholarship fund creates partial and full educational scholarships for our weaving workshops, prioritizing those who need financial assistance, and local community members. We understand that the tuition price of our workshops can alienate certain individuals that would like to learn how to weave, and we believe that everyone deserves the same opportunities.  Afterall – weaving is a communal art form. We’re excited to take the first steps toward making weaving more accessible for all, while ensuring that our instructors are fairly compensated.

If you’d like to donate to our scholarship fund so that we may offer more opportunities in the future, we are pleased and honoured to have your support.

the rag rug workshop scholarship application will be emailed to you, upon your request.

applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and each applicant will be informed as to the class availability and workshop time. If you would like to provide any supplemental material, please email us anytime or along with your submitted application at: theswedishflicka@gmail.com.

we are operating the scholarship program based on the honour system and proof of financial status will not be requested.

• by applying for a scholarship, you are agreeing to attend the full workshop agreed upon, and must be available for the day/time that the workshop is scheduled for

• because this qualifies as a complete beginner workshop, no previous weaving knowledge is required. all materials are included in the cost. the workshop fee for the scholarship program cannot be transferred to another applicant. if you cannot attend the workshop, please inform us as soon as possible by emailing: theswedishflicka@gmail.com OR text/call 928.750.4954
